I can't recommend this company enough!!I started talking to Yocky via the chat system on their website, as we wanted to do a 2.5 week trip around China. Our itinerary was:Shenzhen-Beijing-Xian-Kunming-Dongchuan-Chengdu-Guilin-SanyaHere's how things went:1) She was instant in her replies and responded to subsequent emails within the hour (and trust me, I sent A LOT of emails). She was always so thorough and efficient.2) She made us a tailor made trip that covered everything we wanted, including some slightly more off the beaten track attractions.3) She helped us keep to our budget and suggested reasonable things we could cut out when things were too expensive (not something many companies would do as they are trying to make a quick buck).4) She listened to all of our requests for things such as early morning flights, vegetarian food, and readjusting itineraries.5) All our drivers and guides were EXCELLENT; they were prompt, kind, spoke excellent English and had a wealth of knowledge about all the sites we saw. All the cars on our private tours were nice and comfortable and had water.6) Despite asking for 3* hotels, all 7 hotels we stayed in seemed like 4* to us and all included breakfast.7) With such a large and complicated trip there were bound to be a few hiccups (e.g. there was a marathon in Xian one day which meant a lot of roads were closed, so we couldn't access sites). Yocky was in touch with us the entire time and helped us rearrange our plans quickly and ordered complimentary tickets to a show to make up for the inconvenience.We were so nervous about our first trip to China as we speak no mandarin and are strict vegetarian but honestly this was one of the best trips of our life; this company made it so easy for us and I really can't imagine having been able to do it myself any better!

We booked our trip with Top China Travel a private tour and was amazing experience. We were 4 people , just ladies. It was very well organized, our Spanish guides in the different cities very good especially Leon in Xian, the best. They were very knowledgeable and took care of us. Every time we went to another city, they didn't leave us until the check-in at the different airports. Our agent Raylene did an excellent job, organizing our trip, she was on top of everything. Thanks Raylene for our unforgettable vacation.

We used Top China Tour for a recent trip which included Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai. This was a small group with four to six members. Top China travel did an excellent job. The hotels were all in excellent locations and the service was top notch. The tour guides all spoke very good English and knew the history of all the many places we visited. I always felt very comfortable wherever we went. Everything was organized nicely. I highly recommend Top China Travel as they provided us with a very memorable trip!

We recently returned from a 16 day tour of China. Our holiday was organised by Rebecca Wei who was a pleasure to deal with. We arrived in Beijing and departed from Shanghai. There was lots to organise as we had two internal flights and three train journeys as well as three nights on a boat cruising the Yangtze river. All the arrangments fell into place like clockwork, our guides were excellent, spoke very good english and had a good knowledge of the places we visited. We saw some fantastic sights but some of the highlights for us were The Great Wall, The Yungang Grottoes, The Hanging Temple Datong, The terrracotta warriors and the muslim quarter in Xiang and the cruise on the Yangtze. We travelled in September so the temperatures were around 28C [ fine for us as we live in Durban] it is also a good time as the lines to get enterance to some places were very short. There was a lot of walking involved so comfortable walking shoes are a must as well as a sun hat. We stayed in a couple of "traditional" hotels which we loved and then some very upmarket hotels. The exception was the hotel in Xiang which scored 100% on location but had some very unfriendly staff a poor restaurant as well as putting us in an unrenovated room for the first night. We moved to the renovated floors for the other night which was much better. I should add here that this was a mistake by the hotel not TCT] My one regret is that we should have stayed a night in Wuzhen Water Town but that really was not practical as we had to leave our hotel in Shanghai at 4 in the morning to catch the flight home. We have some wondefull memories so thank you Rebecca and TCT for organizing a really interesting holiday Andrew and Anne B, DurbanSouth Africa

My mother and I recently visited China from 4 September 2017 to 18 September 2017. Our private tour with Top China Travel (TCT) started in Beijing and ended in Shanghai. Along the way we visited Xian, Guilin and did a 3 day cruise down the Yangtze river. We were very very impressed with the services provided by TCT. The guides and drivers who met us in every city where enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and entertaining. They continuously strived to do their utmost best to accommodate us and make our experience a pleasant one. Having the guides definately made our trip a relaxing one especially with the language barrier. Our trip planner from TCT, Bonnie even met up with us in Guilin to meet us and give us gifts which was really something special. TCT made sure we experienced all the best and most amazing sites of China, both old and new! The tour was attentive and personal and I would definitely recommend it as a MUST to anybody travelling to China!!! Thank you to our tour Guides Linda, Lucy, Michelle, Cherry, Victor, Jakob and our tour planner Bonnie for the most wonderful visit. China is an exquisite and vibrant country which will definitely see me again!

We've been in China this August from 4th to 20th, starting from Beijing and finish in Shanghai, with many transfers through the "tailor made"trip (we've been in Chengde, Pingyao, Xian, Chengdu, Huangshan...). We're very found in Chinese culture and food, so we asked to the travel agency a "not so touristic" tour. We found everything we were looking for! Janet, our correspondent, made everything work wonderfully, with patience and aknowledgement. We really suggest this agency if you want a really Chinese experience with the best quality and price!

Right from my first email till even after reaching home from the tour, I and my family were taken excellent care of by Vicky and others of Top China Travel. Our 16 day tour of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xian, Beijing, Guilin and finally Hong Kong was not just planned excellently, it was made highly pleasurable by Vicky and her colleagues from the TCT office and each of the tour guides who became a part of my family while going around. Our tour was a private tour making us feel like VVIPs at each stage due to exclusivity experienced by us at each scenic, cultural or historic place we visited. The guides got us the best seats with discounts for all the shows we had desired to experience making our tour very memorable. Last but not the least the invaluable guidance and tips as well as their initiative helped us save quite many yuans and dollars! I can't thank Vicky, all the tour guide and TCT for a classic experience of all times!

We reserved this tour by China Travel which is joint by China Highlights. Terraced Fields and Yangshuo have kind of unique sceneries to offer. Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo passes by spectacular views. Thanks to our tour guide chasen Cai, we really enjoyed every minute of our trip. He was cheerful, energetic and helpful. He gave us detailed information anywhere needed. Show of Impression Liu was also a must see in Yangshuo.

My family and I (4 pax) from Australia took a 16 day private tour with TCT in April. My husband found this tour operator from a friend and we took our chances after checking their reviews on Tripadvisor. A young lady, Yocky was our tour consultant. Yocky is fantastic! She is very professional, informative and more importantly she is honest, genuine and attentive! She was very responsive to our queries and paid attention to details. She even organised a pocket wifi to be sent to us when we first arrived in Beijing! Such a gem and great asset for this company. Considering she claimed that we were her first clients, she did her job perfectly.The tour itself was very organised. My husband and I did a lot of research ourselves, so we kind of know what we wanted to do, and where to go. We started in Beijing, Xian, Jiu Zhai Gou, Chengdu, 3 night river cruise with Century, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Along the way of the preparation, Yocky helped us with the final details, such as aligning with the cruise time table, what to prioritise, etc. She even suggested some local food.In each city, we were given a private car with driver and a tour guide. We didn't have any problems when arriving at the airport and the tour guides helped us check in at the airport (I find this is important, as it seems each local airport has their own 'safety regulations' that we found quite confusing!). We found most of our tour guides were professional with good English and knowledge of their local areas. I would like to highlight our tour guide Lin from Chengdu. Lin was excellent. She accommodated our needs very well. Ask for Lin as your tour guide when you visit Chengdu.Our regular communication with Yocky also helped us alot. Again, we really appreciate Yocky's availability throughout our trip. When we had to change our flight times and resolve problems with the river cruise,these issues were fixed by Yocky and her team immediately thanks to the pocket wifi and Yocky's availability!We were very satisfied with this tour provider especially with the service provided by Yocky. We will use this company again in the future.

We had so many marvelous experiences. The VIP hotel at the top of the Longhi Scenic Area was beyond anything I have seen before, and the 'ride' up to the top carried by 3 strong men in a 'rickshaw' defied description. At 84 I would not have reached the top without their help. The memories of this adventure will be with me always, and when the cold winter months arrive, I shall recall this pleasure all over again. Well done Janetl Well done TCT and well done China. Your beautiful country does you credit.

The tour of China arranged through top China travel was the best adventures ever throughout the country. Our guides were first rate and unparalleled professionalism was shown in every area of China we visited: Guilin, Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Hong Kong. We enjoyed every moment of our privately guided tours. Our visit to China was wonderful and we cannot say enough to endorse top China travel as a first-class travel agency. We have returned to our home in Corpus Christi, Texas with wonderful memories to last a lifetime.

We are currently still traveling but wanted to give a review of our Beijing section of the trip. Firstly, when we explored options on tours on the internet we sent email from the TCT website requesting information. Janet replied and from there on the planning was effortless. She accommodated all that we wanted to see into a well planned trip. She was responsive and prompt in her replies from China and could speak english well. We arrived at our first destination in Beijing. Our guide, Eric Gu, greeted us at the airport with a big smile. For last 3 days he has shown us the attractions. He is very knowledgable, patient, flexible and fun. Speaks excellent english also. He made extra effort to accommodate our requests and waited patiently while we were eating delicious food, buying pearls and handbags and booking us theatre tickets to the Kung Fu show. We cannot have enough thanks for the good service we got. Stay tuned for the rest of our trip. On the Xian and Shanghai now.

My sister and I were looking for an independent tour to China and Tibet and after writing to three different agencies with our proposed route and activities we decided to go with TCT travel. Why TCT? Daniel Mo, our contact person responded quickly to every email that we sent. He was both professional and friendly. An excellent travel agent! The planning was personal. If we didn’t like a proposed hotel or tour, he came up with something better. He made recommendations about sights worth seeing and places worth skipping. Nothing was too much to ask; he wanted us to be satisfied. The other two agencies were more inclined to offer standard hotels and tours. The bank transfers were efficient. There was no hassle with money. Our route: Beijing, Lhasa, Xian, Guilin-Yangshou, Shanghai, a total of 17 days in October. Seeing Tibet was to be the highlight of our trip. Daniel arranged the Tibet permit, a hotel in the center of Lhasa and a local Tibetan guide who was truly amazing. If you have the time and are not frightened off by the high altitude (you must take medicine), go to Tibet!! That being said, our entire China-Tibet trip was fantastic. We enjoyed everything that we did, all of our tours. The hotels had excellent locations (extremely important). Our guides were wonderful and did everything they could to make things run smoothly. They all met us at the airport(s) upon arrival and assisted us at departure. They accompanied us everywhere organizing and translating and of course supplying us with information at all of the tour sights. They ordered our lunches based on what we like to eat (my sister is a vegetarian). We were never herded around like a tour group. The approach was personal and flexible. All of our transportation was arranged perfectly by Daniel/TCT; flights, trains, vans, cars, boats, bicycles and rickshaws. We could not have asked for a better introduction to China and I would certainly recommend TCT to anyone who wishes to travel independently. From the planning phase to the actual execution; excellent!

We used Top China Travel to book our entire 16-day trip through Beijing, Xian, Jiuzhaigou, Chengdu, Leshan, Guilin, Yangshuo, and Shanghai. We had a private guide and driver in each metro area who was always there to pick us up at the airport/train station and drop us off at the airport (and help us check-in for the next flights even). Our guides spoke English well, were very accommodating to our needs, and were fun be around throughout each segment. We were a little hesitant to book with a company based in China, but we combed the internet for reviews and found many that appeared authentic and all were good reviews. While in China, we met multiple people traveling with larger groups than us but paid more money than we did for our custom trip. If you're going to China, you have to at least consider Top China Travel - they were excellent.
